Importance of Referrals
Every business owner knows that the best way to grow their business is through referrals and word-of-mouth. People want to know that their money is going to be well spent, and what better way than with an endorsement from a friend or family member that's already had a good experience?
In the last few years, companies have started to reward people for making referrals and tracking the number of people their customers recommend. Signpost now makes this possible for your business by tracking how many people have been referred and by whom.

The Referral Process
The Referral campaign encourages your customers to refer their friends using a unique referral link. Signpost uses a three-step process to generate new referrals for your business:
1. The referral request is sent to subscribed contacts (excluding the contacts that submitted negative feedback). Each contact receives their own unique referral link.
2. Your contacts can share their referral link with friends by posting it to Facebook or Twitter, or by emailing it.
3. When their friends open the referral link, they can choose to claim your New Customer Offer. Once claimed, their contact information is automatically added to your Merchant Center.
4. Optional: A single referral bonus and multi-referral bonus can be awarded to contacts that submit the referral(s) to your business.
How to Track Referrals
Whenever a referral is submitted, you will receive an email notification from Signpost. You can view contact information for the referral, as well as the person who referred them. This gives you full visibility into how many people are submitting referrals and who has earned any referral incentives.
Additionally, you can filter your Customer Contacts tab in your Merchant Center to view your referral contacts.
