How To: Edit a Contact

To CHANGE a contact's existing Email Address:

1. Log in to your Merchant Center and navigate to the "Contacts" tab

2. Type the existing contact's name or email address in the search bar and hit the "Enter" key

3. Click the toggle next to the contact's name to change it from purple (subscribed) to gray (not subscribed)

4. Click "Add Contact" in the top right-hand corner

5. Enter the new email address and any additional information you have for the contact

6. Click "Add Contact"

NOTE: Because all activity is tied to individual email addresses, previous customer activity will not be available for the new email address.

 

To CHANGE a contact's existing Name or Phone Number -OR-

To ADD a Name, Phone Number, or Email Address to an existing contact:

1. Log in to your Merchant Center and navigate to the "Contacts" tab

2. Click "Add Contact" in the top right-hand corner

3. Enter all existing information for the contact you would like to update, exchanging the new information for the old when applicable

4. Click "Add Contact." This will replace the existing information associated with the contact with the new information you entered

NOTE: Any time a new Phone Number is added, the customer will still need to text "START" to your tracking phone number to opt in to text message marketing.
